can't connect to DB after power loss

I don't know microsoft SQL at all but I am trying to help out at work.
We had a power loss. Now, when we try to connect to the database, the
software says cannot connect, check macsql.cfg. That may even be a
file fron the software, not MSSQL, I don't know. Any thoughts?
PeterCan you connect to the server via the SQL Server client tools (Enterprise
Manager / Query Analyzer)?
How about the SQL Server service itself? Did you check to see if it is
running on the server?

>|||Thank you for your reply. Yes, I did make sure SQL server was running.
I believe, also, I was able to connect using Enterpise Manager.

we are having trouble connecting with is Macola, if that means
anything.
