I don't know microsoft SQL at all but I am trying to help out at work.
We had a power loss. Now, when we try to connect to the database, the
software says cannot connect, check macsql.cfg. That may even be a
file fron the software, not MSSQL, I don't know. Any thoughts?
Peter
Can you connect to the server via the SQL Server client tools (Enterprise
Manager / Query Analyzer)?
How about the SQL Server service itself? Did you check to see if it is
running on the server?

|||Thank you for your reply. Yes, I did make sure SQL server was running.
I believe, also, I was able to connect using Enterpise Manager.
Peter
|||Ok, I definitely could connect using Enterprise Manager. The sotware
we are having trouble connecting with is Macola, if that means
anything.
Thanks,
Peter
|||Okay, that means it isn't a SQL Server issue -- can you contact the software
vendor?

|||Yes, I will do that today. Unfortuantely, they have a fee associated
with their support, but it seems I have no choice. Thanks for trying,
Adam!
