Can't get current value of a field in table header
I want to display
="Details for Company " & Fields!Company.Value
in the table header (or in a textbox within the body above the table).
However, I only get the value of the first company number in the dataset,
even when it breaks on company. How is this done?
Thank you very much,
Marc MillerAdd a table group with a grouping expression of =Fields!Company.Value
In the table group header your expression will work ="Details for Company "
& Fields!Company.Value

Can't export to PDF with hidden group
spending hours on the report getting it to look right in Report Manager, I
went to export to PDF and could not. I got the error "Internet Explorer
cannot download format=PDF".
So I proceeded to recreate the report step by step. At each step, I
deployed, ran, and try to export to pdf.
The problem comes when I have a group make the visible property=false.
My work around is to change the Font color to white and disable growing.
Is this a known issue and is being worked on or should I report this to MS?Please email me a copy of your .rdl and .rdl.data file so I can take a look.
Also, please send me a copy of the error you're seeing in the latest log
file in your /ReportServer/LogFiles directory.

certainly wouldn't hurt anything so please email me a copy of your .rdl and
.rdl.data file so I can take a look.
Thanks.

Can't display the report page from the Internet
Hi,
I am using SQL 2000 SP4 and Report Server SP2 on W2k3 SP1 Server.
I am having trouble displaying the report pages if I am connected from the Internet.
I have no problem if I am connected in the office (Intranet).
The frame that is not show is underneath the New Subscription bar in my report page. I can see everything above (header pages etc) and Home page etc.
I think for some reasons the request frame URL page is still https://myserver/Repor... instead https://myserver.mycompany.com/Report...
Thank's for any help
gogu
PS: Also I am able to deploy only from the Intranet with Target Server URL https://myserver/ReportServer
If I setup VS.NET deploy Target Server URL https://myserver.mycompany.com/ReportServer it comes up with "A connection could not be made ..."
If I open the Browser from the Intranet I can see the reports pages even if with https://myserver.mycompany.com/Reports...
but it ask me for Username / Password.
How can I tell VS.NET when deploy to use username/password?
I think I figure out this (PostID=499647);
I modified RSWebApplication.config see PostID=499647 above and reinstall SSL certificate with <FQDN>
What stupid think is that only the body of report page follows the key <ReportServerUrl> other frame pages are relative to browser URL?
Can't Display Sql 2005 Images
I have a JPEG image into my Sql Server 2005 DB. The field type in the DB is Image.
When I try to display the image in a report, I always see a red cross instead the image...
I've tried to do: "http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms156342.aspx" but it doesn't work.
Please help me!!!!
NEStorMake sure the image item source is set to Database. The Product Catalog report included with the RS sample reports demonstrates showing images from the database.
cant display calculated members
BTW what is the level of SP on OLAP & SQL?|||Originally posted by Satya
Don;t know whether the SP may fix or not, but you can try though.
BTW what is the level of SP on OLAP & SQL?
i have installed the service pack 3 for SQL Server 2000 & Analysis Services (OLAP); sp4 for Windows 2k; MS Office 2003... but seems no change with the presentation of the Excel PivotTable from OLAP cube... still can't display the calculated members under the dimensions. Or is there anyway to force the calculated members be displayed under the dimensions?|||Any error or information during this process?
I feel user interface is not able to simulate the data contained
in the dimension using a local cube. This may be because the estimated size of the dimension is large or possibly because it uses a feature not
supported in local cubes.
HTH|||I think i got the solution for this...
When i create a calculated member in Calculated Member Builder, besides changing the Parent dimension, need also to specify the Parent member. Then only the calculated member will be displayed under the specified dimension in MS Excel XP/2003 PivotTable (Excel 2k doesn't support this feature). At least we know that the newer version of Excel has solved this problem.
Really thanks a lot for all the guidance & advices.
